About
The Book
The Worst Has Come. A Gargoyle War Triggered By Just One Man. But Which One?
From the multiple award-winning teen author Brandon King comes the first volume of his YA series inspired by the classic works of Tolkien, and the spirit of Riordan, Sanderson, Locke, Carr and Myers. Perfect for teens and young adult readers who yearn for contemporary epic fantasy adventures that remind them of Narnia and Middle Earth.
The Climactic Battle Between the Forces of Good and Evil Ends In The Redemption of One… and the Loss of Many.
The ultimate showdown finally comes, pitting the defenders of the old ways against those fighting for progress and the total rejection of the past, its histories and its traditions. But one of them uses skillful deception to incite the final, titanic battle between the gargoyle kingdoms.
Rebellion resonates uncomfortably with the times in which we live. There are strongholds on both sides the great divide. But which side can be trusted…and by what measures?
Rebellion is the 7th volume in The Gargoyle Chronicles series. It blends together Norse, YA, and NA genres.

If I would have had more than 15 minutes to read each night, I would have read it all in one sitting. So many interesting characters. Great idea for an appendix! Be sure to look at the appendix for the Gargoyle names as you are reading – that would have been helpful for me to keep the names straight. Plot was really good.

Chapter 3:
The Pot Thickens
~an excerpt
Tetrival stretched his weary back. But other than his back, he felt strong. Purposeful. Focused. And very, very angry. Retribution would be his. The violence that the sole Carbon Fundamental intended to wreak upon the kingdom of the Unguents would become legend. His anguish knew no boundary. His pain had no threshold. His agony was perfection. It was his curse that though bereft of his beloved Wolfrima, his existence would continue unabated into the darkest recesses of time. His loss was without measure, and that was what he would bring to his enemy.
